The streets of Istanbul are perfectly chaotic - a somehow sustainable marriage of manicured mosques, crumbling holes in the wall: the old and the new; the conservative and liberal. Religion holds the city together but the visible vices of society's fabric make it what it is. Returning from a dinner with friends - both old and new - filled with the extremely dinner-appropriate conversation...we sat in my hostel where I first heard the Turkish hip-hop beats of Da Poet. Totally groovy and smooth, Da Poets "Beattape" is appropriate for lollygagging, conversation, chill pres, or even those moments (hopefully far in the future) for studying.
