Album Release: Black Messiah | D'Angelo & The Vanguard

The Messiah has finally arrived! The long awaited album DOES NOT disappoint....Sony must be happy they have an actual piece of good news for once amidst their negative media storm. We all knew a surprise album was coming at the end of the year, but the question was who...Not gunna lie, we were so pleasantly shocked that D'Angelo stepped up to the plate. In two words? FUCK YEAH!

The album features the usual ?uestlove and Q-Tip, but also features bassist Pino Palladino, drummer James Gadson and Funkadelic's Kendra Foster helping out on lyrics. If you don't listen to anything else for the rest of 2014, you'll be fine. In fact you'll be gold and probably have the best end-of-year yet. All we can say is thank GAWD we haven't released our EWM Year-End Lists yet....*nudge nudge wink wink*
