Album Release: Our Love | Caribou

It's been four years since we've heard from Dan Snaith as Caribou, and Our Love does not disappoint. The warped sound matched with hip-hop(ish) beats, electronic vibes and soulful vocals somehow makes this genre-confused album work. As Dan Snaith himself said, "It's mind-numbingly simple". But as we all learned from Forrest Gump, simple doesn't mean it's not extraordinary.

Accurately titled, Our Love moves with ebb and flow like the roller-coaster experience one has with love. "Can't Do Without You", a popular tune in the blogsphere, allows the album to hit the ground running. However, if you want to get a quick taste of what the album is trying to encompass, we recommend you give "Silver" (above) and "Our Love" (below) a go.

Need something to clean the post-weekend house to? Listen to this album when you're doing a menial task and the "mind-numbing" music will make the time FLY.
