#TBT: Rocksteady | Aretha Franklin

Ah, Thursday. The day where we here at EWM like to get back to BASICs and throw out some #TBTs. One of today's throwbacks (another way-back) is the Queen of Soul's 1971 hit "Rocksteady". The single reached the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100 (getting to #9), and was arguably the only track on her album, Young, Gifted and Black, that remained a funky, soulful tune throwing back to her old Muscle-Shoals-sound. Let's go down to Funkville....(couldn't resist).
