Chinese Fountain | The Growlers

The psych-rock sound of The Growlers is truly unmistakeable. The Cali based band released their newest album Chinese Fountain last week and EWM is lovin' it. The self proclaimed "Beach Goths" use distorted vocals, and have a distinct California vibe that resonates most noteably in their guitar work. These afcionados (we've seen them refered to as called 'surf punks' as well) managed to put this entire album together in just two weeks saying, "I don't know how the fuck we do it but Matt [Taylor, lead guitarist] and I just buckle down and put the songs together... Otherwise, we're too nitpicky and we'll sit there and nitpick the shit out of everything" (Spin).
